This past December, our residents completed the Fall sessions of Opening Minds Through Art (OMA), an internationally recognized intergenerational program that empowers individuals living with dementia to express themselves through abstract art.

This week, we had the privilege of learning about safety awareness with Detective Heather, covering topics from internet and banking scams to ways we can protect ourselves and our belongings. Thank you to Waterloo Regional Police for sharing this session with our community.

Last week our residents came together for a fun Olympic-themed day! They enjoyed friendly competitions, cheered each other on, and shared plenty of laughs. At the end of the competition, medals were awarded for first, second, and third place.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and our Adult Day Program clients spent the day getting creative. With simple materials, they painted, crafted, and enjoyed a fun day full of smiles and laughter!

Who doesn’t love a spa day? Last Friday, our residents enjoyed one of their favourite activities — a relaxing afternoon of hand care and manicures. ✨

Yesterday, ADP clients, TVT and TVCC residents, and care partners came together to enjoy a special talk with guest speaker David Gascoigne, exploring the birds in our region. Together, they learned how to recognize local species and discovered some fascinating facts along the way

#forestofflowers gifted us some beautiful roses! 🌹 Thank you for the thoughtful gesture. The flowers are now brightening the Care Centre and adding a touch of colour to everyone's day!

Today, Care Centre residents took part in a flower planting activity with Mercedes, our horticulturalist. A simple activity with a touch of nature! Soon, the flowers will be blooming in the Community Garden 🌱

ADP clients took part in conversations around nutrition, learning together and sharing simple ways to support their wellbeing. They also spent time with our horticulture team planting lettuce and strawberries in the tower gardens, bringing the learning to life in a hands-on way.
