Aren't they membership organizations? Their policies are decided by members. Cancel your membership if you don't like what they are doing and join an organization that better represents your opinions. There are 3 national organizations that represent the cattle industry.

Our 2024 foaling season started this morning. My wife had this mare marked to foal on April 8th based on when she saw the stud cover her. I checked when I got up this morning and we watched it be born from our back door. Nice, flashy stud colt.

Tip for truck drivers: Stay put if your empty and there is a high wind warning. I met a quad axle cattle pot on my way home and it looked like his trailer was tracking 4 feet out of his lane.

Foaling season is getting going a little faster now. We've had three in the last week.

Northern lights are pretty neat tonight. The camera amplifies them from what my eyes see.

Daily tip: Don't work a one eyed cow from her blind side. You'll see the run in coming, but she won't.

Went for a train ride today on the 1880 Train. It highly recommend if you ever have the opportunity. It's very relaxing, especially if your in the very back car and barely hear the engine.

If you like rum, try this. It has been my go-to for over 10 years. My FIL drinks regular Captain. I had a fifth of this, and he said it wouldn't be enough for the night. He had three drinks and was toasted.

Finally got done foaling for the year. This one is special to me. That's my riding mare that went lame with arthritis a year ago. She is much more sound now, and having a little filly by our Bet Hesa Cat son out of her to make my next riding horse makes me happy.
