One of our curriculum drivers is Resilience. Our wonderful Year 6 pupils showed this today working with thestemhub completing an interactive workshop on protecting our future world. They had to make choices on how they would ensure their new factory would be net 0. #TeamTregolls

Today, some of our Year 5 & 6 children have had lots of fun spending the day at Penair School doing their young sports leader training. We can’t wait to start utilising their new skills! A massive thank you to Penair School and their amazing sports leaders for this opportunity.

To celebrate Pancake Day in the ARB, we used our communication boards to support the children in making their own decisions as to what they would like on their pancakes from a range of tasty toppings. The children enjoyed exploring the different toppings using their senses.

A group of pupils from Tregolls Academy had the opportunity to attend New County Hall to learn about the job prospects and opportunities within Cornwall. This fits perfectly with our Aspiration value where the children realised that opportunities within Cornwall. #TeamTregolls

This term in the ARB, we have been learning a familiar story: We're Going on a Bear Hunt. In our lesson on Thursday, we listened to the sensory story again and then created our own plot twist, thinking specifically about the character and setting. Well done Kenwyn. #TeamTregolls

Last Friday, some year 5 & 6 children went to Penair to take part in a netball event. Despite having limited practice, the children won 5 out of 7 games and had so much fun! A special mention to Harriet who received a special award for her resilience! #TeamTregolls

Yesterday Truro class attended the Farm and Country day at Royal Cornwall Showground. We saw cows, sheep, goats, pigs and a bull! We learnt about bee keeping, recycling and plastic pollution. We learnt how ice cream, cheese and pasties are made. #TeamTregolls

Hayle Class have been exploring 'Sound' in Science. We have created parts of the ear using different materials. We have thought about how sound is created, how sound travels and is received by the ear. We will now use our structures to write an explanation text. #TeamTregolls

Camel Class had the best time at Healeys Cyder Farm! We rode on a tractor, saw some farm animals, tasted some apple juice and even drove a sports car! #TeamTregolls

Year 6 had a fantastic morning meeting people from different job sectors. They met Volcanologists, the Police, Crime Unit Investigation, The Royal Navy and an eye surgeon. They learnt about what their jobs entail and how to aspire to work in that sector. #TeamTregolls

Yesterday a group of Year 3 pupils took to the stage in the Cathedral as part of Songfest. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. It was great to share the stage with Skol Nansledan #TeamAspire

Year 1 - The Hungry Caterpillar - Edible Art Session We spoke about eating their 5 a day and how important it is to "Eat a Rainbow" to ensure they get all the vitamins and minerals Portion sizes - how to work out a portion for their age and how our portions get bigger as we grow
