I’ve had two athletes over the course of my career tell me “they don’t pay for training”. Both of them are/were injured all time. Both of them ONLY do skill work in off-seasons. YOU CANT RACE A BROKEN/BAD RACE CAR, NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU ARE AT RACING.

Two basic types of work in this analogy; 1. Building the car you want to race in. 2. Learning how to race the car. These don’t happen the same way and they are not the same. And you can’t do just one.

Several yrs ago I was playing pickup with some HS players in Va & to spice games up I usually talk trash or make phantom calls to slow pace down 😂. This one HS kid got so mad & told me I need to “Google” him. This new trash talk surprised me but HS internet relevancy is serious.
