Day 7: Esti-Mystery. We do these regularly in our class and our Vikings were so excited! 3 kiddos chose 127 cm as their original estimate and were so excited to see that they were spot on 👏🏻 Snow much fun! tvdsbmath

The math challenge today was amazing! These Vikings had a blast coding a snowflake ❄️ So much rich discussion, problem solving and lots of room to CMT and try again 💕 tvdsbmath

Thank you Air Canada - in spite of a terrible winter storm and crazy winds, you got us in the air and home safely to spend the holidays with our family. No flight cancellations, lovely representatives and flight staff. Thank you 💕

Bus cancellation isn’t ruining our coding fun today! We are loving exploring Lego Spike Prime! A moving Ferris wheel 🎡 that plays music was the first build and now these Vikings are conjuring up other creative things! Thanks Derek Tangredi and Mandy Cleland for inspiring us 💕

We are circling back to do some decimal work so we started off today with a quick review! We played a few rounds of Race to Tenths using our Cuisenaire Rods and quickly saw how we could extend this to Race to Hundredths by changing the value of our rods 💕 tvdsbmath

Tonight I spent time learning more about the Micro: Bit and am feeling incredibly inspired! Thank you to Sylvia LibowMartinez , Pauline Maas - Writer & Teacher & MIEE & Fellow and Gary Stager - New Invent To Learn Book! for sharing! I cannot wait to read the book and am excited to think of all the possibilities for my kiddos 💕 TVDSB STEM

We started our day with a moment of silence, flags lowered, and a precious family in our thoughts. Our school walked together for them. My kiddos spent time in discussion and reflection, then they produced these beautiful reminders that hate has no place here. @OurLondonFamily
