Cause: Birds managed to chew through the metal cloth that I had on the exhaust pipe.

They built a nest the entire length of the pipe and it choked out the heater.

This could have been bad……

Now there is much stronger wire blocking the way.

Update: Thankfully the temps never reached critical!

Heater repair guy will be here within the next couple of hours to get it straight. If that doesn’t work I have a spare they can install.

At 1 am I got a phone call from the alarm company that monitors our greenhouse temperatures.

I went over there to find that the heater is blowing air but it’s anything but hot.

Scary once we get to this point in the plants lives, but I don’t have any options other than to let

Next step is to spray pre-emergence herbicide (basically sterilizes any weed seeds)
