Senator Jon Ossoff supported all the Ukraine aid packages that have passed his desk. He condemned using life saving aid as leverage while giving Moscow a pass. Critiquing the admin for its policies that remove pressure on Russia as the invasion pushes deeper into unoccupied Donbas.
Congresswoman Rep. Victoria Spartz stood with Ukraine at the start of the invasion, but faltered as the war went on and political winds shifted. Following the trend among many of her colleagues, she stopped supporting aid, and empathized Trump's peacemaking ability. Now, she has no plan.
Senator Coach Tommy Tuberville has been a vocal opponent of support for Ukraine. Voting against aid at every opportunity. Tuberville said Ukraine fighting Russia was like "A like a junior high (team) playing an NFL team in football". He has offered no new plan since talks fell through.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar supported Ukraine in 2022. Highlighting "massacres, targeting of civilians, mass graves, and rapes'. Supporting every stand alone aid package, while showing early concern about scope. Supported targeted sanctions, but opposed oil sanctions without a sunset.
Congressman Tom Tiffany has been against supporting Ukraine since the very start of the war. Voting against all support in aid, lend-lease, and even legislative condemnations. Defending his votes by saying it would deplete U.S. stockpiles. As talks failed, he had no new plan.
Congressional candidate Heath Howard for Congress spoke with us about his support for Ukraine. He understands the need to compel negotiations though action, like getting a new aid package through congress. Howard also agreed to push his party to support said package if elected to congress.
Congressman Paul Gosar has been a consistent opponent of aid for Ukraine. Voting against aid, and proposing amendments to stop it. Gosar blames NATO as the primary antagonist of the invasion and falsely says Euromaidan was a CIA coup. Has zero plan since talks fell through.
Congressman Jamie Raskin has supported Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. A consistent vote in favor of aid to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia. He has also been outspoken in support of Ukraine when given the opportunity to speak about the invasion.
Senate candidate and prospective Democratic nominee Graham Platner for Senate expressed support for sending Ukraine defensive aid while lauding Ukrainian resistance. He also opposes cuts to U.S. Aid, which provided humanitarian assistance and helped those displaced by the invasion.
