The #Interreg. project #Herinneringen validated its concept by rebuilding the arguments as to why #nonanimal methods lead the way towards early diagnosis of, and new drug target development for, early sporadic #Alzheimers. The presentations are soon on herinneringen.eu.

Genetic analysis of human iPSC derived neurons exposed to selected environmental risk factors and biopsies from Alzheimer’s patients and control individuals revealed processes that were not seen in control individuals. Currently, 9 miR’s are under further evaluation.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has also impacted the #Interreg. project ''Herinneringen'' (''Memories''). But, progress was made, and the prolongation with 6 months that was approved by #Interreg. will allow us to reach the goal. herinneringen.eu

Decades of #Alzheimer's (AD) research has been unsuccessful in controlling amyloid plaque development and resulting cellular processes leading to clinical AD. The project #HERINNERINGEN applies #nonanimal toxicogenomics to fill out gaps in our understanding of early AD induction.
