“We want to take one of the last things that people experience together, and make it just as isolating as everything else. This is good, we think.”

You have to stop treating it like a performance where you are trying to become the best version of yourself. It is not theatre. It is not self transformation day after day. You do it the way you brush your teeth. It is not about liking or disliking it. It is simply something you

Massachusetts has one of the best transit networks in North America. Our biggest problem is our land use patterns. Moderate transit typically needs ~6 units/acre. Rapid transit needs ~16. Yet station areas around the MBTA Commuter Rail average just 3.2 units per acre.

Deterrence is important. Jailing Mary Fong Lau for killing this family would send a signal to other seniors who know they’re dangerous drivers.

Housing affordability is the thing driving people out. Period. Number One. When a legitimate “starter” home halfway between Boston and Providence is $600K at 6%+ there is no way for young families to get a start here.

"Having kids is easier than ever before, but it's harder than anything else in modern life." This is a really good way to put it. It underscores the fact that people are basically just spoiled and very weak in our super comfortable era and that extreme comfort is the reason for

This is why I never really liked season 7. Michael's emotional sendoff felt very unearned. Jim's holding back tears saying "you're the best boss I ever had". What are you talking about man? He sexually harassed your wife every day for the last 10 years.

The greatest regional transit agency in the state didnt fall for the battery bus nonsense and chose delivering improved service over "green buses." Its this great leadership that's resulted in ridership 60% above pre-pandemic. Its so awesome how they keep getting better

Since like 1995 every single time a car company has released a bare-bones model in the US it sells about 6 units per month and then they cancel it. It literally does not matter if 500 zillion people say they want one, they are lying. They will not buy the bare-bones model.

Car seats are not the problem. It’s the “commuting to community” and “drive everywhere lifestyle” that makes parenting logistically awful

"The problem is clear, rent is too high & homeownership is too far out of reach. The cause is clear too, we are not building enough homes fast enough... In many places local regulations have made it too difficult and costly to build new housing." - Governor JB Pritzker 📍Illinois
