Solidarity with all the warriors who fought this pipeline tooth and nail for over a decade.

We're heartbroken but this fight was worth fighting regardless. We'll never stop fighting to protect the Salish Sea and all who rely on it ✊

This is racism from a bygone era that has absolutely no place in BC -- in the riding of Victoria-Beacon Hill, in the legislature, anywhere.

We've simply gotta move on towards a future based on justice for Indigenous peoples and leave this kind of gutter politics behind.

Surviving the climate chaos we're already locked into will be expensive. The most just way to pay for it, by far, is taxing the shit out of the corporations who are driving this crisis:

We do a lot of neat things at the Wilderness Committee, but our trail building program is one of the coolest.

Our 2024 program includes public multi-day work trips + easier guided day hikes— learn more about this program and how to register here:

Good morning, happy Tuesday, remember that if you’re more mad about protests on college campuses than you are about the killing of 12,000 children in six months you should log off and think about why that is

Really damning that the federal government spent twelve years and $34 billion dollars on tarsands expansion in a climate crisis instead of the thousand other things they should have funded.

Our kids won’t forgive this, and they shouldn’t.

Know this. In the LONG history of popular student activism and protests — it is never a good sign to be on the side that violently suppresses peaceful student actions.

Pundits can’t fathom the idea that students are simply *protesting genocide and demanding divestment* because they can’t imagine political action motivated by sincerely held beliefs. They’ve probably never experienced the power and joy of collective action. I feel sorry for them
