On now, the story of Phil, by all accounts a great guy “living the dream” in Kelowna. He was unvaccinated, steeped in conspiracy theories, and died of COVID19 on Saturday. We’re talking to his friend Uli.

I totally agree with this. My kindergarten wears his mask all the time even though no one else does in his class.

1/4 Dear community, we are disappointed to report that our decision to act in allyship with our local Pride organization has resulted in the cancellation of one of our Festival suppliers. This news comes on the week of the festival, no less.

2/4 The supplier, a local crane service, had been scheduled for the purpose of supporting the installation of our Towards Zero Waste initiative onsite. This initiative is non-negotiable to us as an organization and we have already contracted a replacement service provider.

3/4 We are disheartened by this cancellation but we wholeheartedly stand by our decision to condemn hate speech and exclusion and we stand in solidarity with Pride Canmore and the 2SLGBTQ2+ community at large.

4/4 We recognize that we may be faced with more cancellations of this nature and we are asking for your understanding should we need to find more last-minute solutions. We will continue to share news if it arises. With love, Canmore Folk
