Interesting piece. If your goal is to have the protests on your campus go away quickly and not become national news, seems like the way to do that is just leave the protestors alone. Then they’re not protesting *you*, the university.

There's an NBA playoff game that's already in the third quarter? At 4:15 pacific time? What is this, baseball?

I think Biden's stiff gait is a huge part of why people think he's too old, and I would guess 1% of voters know that he broke his foot in two places, leading to arthritis in his feet, on top of spinal arthritis that he already had.

This might be the most ignored rule in basketball. Every ref at every level calls a kick ball every time it hits someone’s foot (but this was just his leg, which makes this one unusually bad)

Abbot’s statement sounds like he’s admitting the arrests were illegal. The police statement doesn’t do that.

two things

1. this is obviously not 'the columbia protest,' this is the intersection of broadway and 116th street

2. new york has a small but very, uhh, energetic population of esoteric antisemitic weirdos who are moths to the flame of people's attention

Not trying to ragebait, and to borrow 🤨’s words: Jokic is incredible. Jokic is also playing in an advantageous era. I would have loved to see him battling against Admiral, Pat, Dream, Shaq. Even the second tier — Sabas, Smits, Mutombo — was very high level.

A miracle act of pure ecstatic grief, Bob Dylan’s “Mississippi” re-imagines the itinerant thousand mile stare of 'Tangled Up In Blue' as a spiritual cleansing by ordeal. In the end, you aren’t on the road to find love or money or fame. You're on the road cuz nowhere is your home.

Glitch in the matrix: Here’s a drawing of Elvis that Jimi Hendrix made as a child, on display at Graceland. Elvis sure looks like … uhhh … someone else.
