Maybe now they should start adding to scouting reports - Does the kid play with heart? A lot of my summer ball teammates that got drafted pretty high always wanted an early exit from the season. Mind blowing to me but it’s real. There’s more to it than just numbers.

Ask the guys teammates and coaches. How does he act before the game? What time did he get there? Was he there at 330 for team BP or was he there at 12 getting his early work in because he loves it? Is his body language high energy or is he a mope. Is he up in the dugout?
