Reading Tom Needham's Explicit English book has confirmed what I was already pretty set on:

1. Strand curriculum is the go
2. You need loads of examples to teach concepts
3. Best concepts to teach are ones that transcend genre, unit and year level

Calling all AQA GCSE literature markers, can anyone answer these questions:
1) if a student only writes about one poem sec b in lit 2, are they capped?
2) if a student writes a brilliant answer but doesn't really address the question in sec a, are they capped?

A compelling and well argued treatise on the importance and role of direct action in addressing the climate emergency. Well worth a read
