My 11yo autistic daughter was just messing around, stimming & making her noises, she then said “everyone is autistic & adhd where I’m going secondary so this will be normal.” How do I tell her that Hertfordshire County Council have agreed she meets specialist provision, but are naming mainstream 😢

So now our appeal is delayed by months and won’t be heard until sometime in 2025 Hertfordshire County Council

When are the government going to stop putting families and children through Hell trying to fight for their right to an education? When are there going to be enough specialist school places? When is this ever going to change? Because too many kids (& parents) are being broken. 💔

My son had his face painted today. I was so surprised when he asked to have it done as he doesn’t usually like anything on his skin! We ran over, had the face painted & then removed with a wipe in the same sitting. Very proud of him for trying! 🥰 #Autism

My son is autistic & he loves dinosaurs. We were watching a documentary about dinosaurs when the narrator said that the dinosaur name Maiasaura means “good mother.” My son turned to me & said “like you!” These moments make it all worth it🥲
