True. Unless you buy a service plan. So you could buy a house without a service plan (property taxes) and then if the roads or water or electricity access breaks then nobody will fix it. Because property taxes are basically a service plan.

I find this point of view so odd — politics matters a lot for people’s lives and that’s why it’s bad to lose elections. If people’s lives don’t matter then sure, just take a righteous stand and forget about the consequences. But that’s wrong.
