The Brewers have put up a 4-spot and counting against Joey Wentz and the Braves in the third inning as the rains come down. Andrew Vaughn just capped a 12-pitch AB with a two-out, two-run single to LF.

Isaac Collins ropes a line drive at Jurickson Profar, who badly misjudges it, and the ball sails over his head in LF for a triple. Brice Turang follows with a single, and Wentz is done in a 5-1 game.

Isaac Collins misplays a ball into a double in RF, Nacho Alvarez reaches on an infield single, Marcell Ozuna walks to load the bases with two outs. Nick Mears falls behind Jurickson Profar, 3-0, then comes back to strike him out on three pitches. Brewers lead, 5-1.

Shortly after the organist at Truist Park plays 'The Love Boat' theme, Isaac Collins rifles a two-out, two-run single into CF to up the Brewers' lead to 7-1 in the seventh.

The Brewers beat the Braves, 7-2, and are now TWENTY FIVE games over .500 with 113 games in the books -- fewest in franchise history to reach that mark. If the Reds beat the Cubs again, their lead will be four games in the Central. This run has truly been something to behold.

Freddy Peralta on this insane run: "What we are doing in here right now is special, and we just have to keep doing it and just keep trusting in each other. People don't always believe in us, but...we've done a lot of great things. We are just coming to compete every day."

Babe Vaughn ups Milwaukee's lead to 3-1 with an infield chopper, then one batter later Babe Perkins lofts a two-out, two-run HR out to RF to make it 5-1 and chase Spencer Strider.

After Jurickson Profar's two-out, solo HR makes it a 5-3 game in the sixth, Isaac Collins opens the seventh with a single. He's 3 for 3 with a walk tonight. His average is up to .293 and his OPS is up to .831.

Michael Harris II made things interesting with a two-out solo HR to RF off Trevor Megill in the ninth, but Megill recovers by fanning Drake Baldwin to wrap up a 5-4 victory over the Braves. That's a 6-0 road trip for MLB's best road team in the books, as well as 70 wins.

Pat Murphy on road success: "I think that sometimes we make too much of it, the home and away stuff. This team's proven that they like the challenge. And I don't even think they think about it. They're just so hungry and they want to play so bad and they like playing, you know?"
