2nd manuscript/paper I've seen this year that applies SEM to clearly non-independent variables in different boxes (elements of the population Variance-Covariance matrix) to 'causally explain' observed patterns. Rearranging deck-chairs won't stop the ship sinking. Please stop 🤦‍♂️
