A healthy school #culture is built on trust; trust that someone can do the job they were hired to do. Micromanagement & lack of trust are stifling to employee engagement & ultimately lead to a culture of compliance & an #attitude of ‘just tell me what to do.’ #HR #leadership

It's important to remember not all parents had a good experience while in #school. We have to try and repair those bridges and help parents understand we can’t change their past, BUT we can #change their child's future. And to do that, it needs to be a partnership. #edchat

I used to think using every minute in class for academic purposes was absolutely crucial. I now prioritize the quality of academic time over the quantity. I also feel if time is utilized to build #relationships & establish community, academic time will vastly improve. #edchat

Did you know our Jackson buses travel over 3,954 miles and transport over 3,000 students per day? Our JR-2 Transportation Department is under the direction of Mrs. Carol Woods. Her team works hard all year to plan the safest and best routes for all students! #JR2Proud

There’s nothing more difficult or challenging to hear as a parent than your child is struggling, either academically or behaviorally. When we communicate with #parents, we have to remember our voice carries significant weight.

That student you see each morning in the hall to whom you say ‘good morning’ but yet never looks up or responds. Keep trying... you may never get a response, but I guarantee they know you notice them & that reassurance at the start of their day can be huge.

A little encouragement can go a long way. A simple “do it again” or reminding someone that they are loved. Whatever it is, make time to bring out the best in others today. P.S., Don’t let social distancing stop you from lifting others up. Send a text. Make a call. Reach out.
