2020 was definitely a crazy year for high school sports but I'm still very thankful for the moments that I was able to capture and for the memories that I was able to be a part of. This year was just the beginning and I can't wait to keep telling stories!

Hardwood action before the holiday break. Tonight, the South Central Calhoun Girls Basketball team and the SCC Titans boys’ basketball team take on the MVAOCOU Rams, starting at 6 p.m. in Mapleton. Titan girls are 7-1, SCC boys are 6-1. The MVAOCOU girls are 3-4, the Ram boys are 2-4. #iahsbkb

Super Tuesday is upon us. Tomorrow, the SCC Titans and South Central Calhoun Girls Basketball host Humboldt in a pair of competitive nonconference matchups, while the SCC wrestling team battles for a TLC duals crown against Manson-Northwest Webster and Emmetsburg. 🏆 🏆 🏆 ! The SCC Titans boys’ basketball claimed their third consecutive Twin Lakes Conference crown, defeating Pocahontas Area by way of a 90-72 result earlier tonight in Pocahontas. The Titans improve to 15-4 overall, with a 10-1 record in league play. #iahsbkb

In non-BV news, my dad won his 500th game of his high school basketball coaching career last night. That’s a number I’ll probably never come close to, but I hope I can at least coach as long. His only comment: “I hope no one asks how many I’ve lost.” 💜

Before the weekend, the SCC Titans boys' track team took fifth in the Poky Relays, held on Friday at the PAC Athletics Complex in Pocahontas. Cole Corey continued to impress, winning four events (High Jump, Long Jump, 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles). #iahstrk
