My mighty friend was eliminated on the first freakin roll (rolled a straight, which has a WHOPPING probability of 1.5%). Guess he took one for the team and got out of the way. It worked - Gladiators won!

Vanuatu - South Pacific Ocean nation of ~80 islands that stretch 1,300km. Has coral reefs, underwater caverns, wrecks such as the WWII-era troopship SS President Coolidge. Sounds like a paradise but in this game you are on your toes! Plan -> plans get squashed. Oh, the tension!
