The Boy in the Suit by James Fox is a terrific book and highly recommended. It’s not always an easy read as the boy, Solo, is living in poverty, but it’s full of humour and hope. Available in September Halfway up the Stairs Age 9+ I’m finishing it on the ferry to Wales!

And gosh this is super fun! Jim Smith and from Scholastic UK, without stereotyping, there are some boys in my Y4 who will find this absolutely hilarious. Some girls too, I hope, as who doesn't find poo funny! For 7+ and will definitely be one passed around the class with 😁

The Boy in the Suit by James Fox is one of my favourite children's novels of the year. It explores a lot of serious issues (poverty, mental health, absent family members) in an extremely gripping story. The final few chapters really hit hard. Highly recommended for Y6/7.
