Learning a language isn’t just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about unlocking whole new worlds. It allows you to enjoy music, films, food and books as they were meant to be experienced. It brings people together, builds understanding and makes life that bit more colourful.

Very true in science too, I've met some amazing collaborators thanks to knowing more languages than English - and the collaboration wants me make to learn their languages more

Another language is about experiencing life in a whole new way. It’s about genuinely understanding how other people see the world. It’s an upgrade across multiple disciplines. It benefits everyone, wherever else life takes you. Languages go way beyond another subject in school.

Hungarian vocabulary is hard to remember... To remember "boldog" (happy) I had to visualise a happy bulldog... To remember "torba" (bladder) in Turkish, I'll have to think of "torba" (bag) in Polish. Similar function...
