Super nice special about #synbio featuring Daniel Schindler and MaxGENESYS Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and SYNMIKRO Marburg in November issue of Laborjournal (German only...)
Happy to see the project that I worked on during my MSc thesis at Laboratory of Microbiology at WUR has been published! It was truly a pleasure to participate.
Excited to share our first #preprint with #synthetic yeast. Great collaboration with Lena Hochrein showing for the first time that L-SCRaMbLE is active on chromosome scale! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… work by talented students Timon Lindeboom Mar_07 Cedric K. Brinkmann Adán Ramírez Rojas
#MPITMTour: How to use #automation to scale-up and scale-down at the same time? Daniel Schindler team is building #synthetic genomes for #microbiology! They've also established the MaxGENESYS #biofoundry for #bioengineering. More: mpi-marburg.mpg.de/927564/maxgene…; schindler-lab.org
I am excited to see the project I have been working on during my master thesis under the guidance of @KaiRiedmiller and Patrick Reiser finally out. Thanks to Frauke Graeter and Pascal Friederich for the great time and excellent mentoring!
Inspired by our first paper about synthetic sRNAs we looked into predicting optimal seed sequences for sRNAs. The story is finally out doi.org/10.1093/bioinf…. Fruitful collaboration with Bork Berghoff. First purely computational paper of the lab and first paper of Cedric K. Brinkmann!
#Yeast cell created with an over 50% synthetic #genome can survive and replicate similar to wild type. See below a collection of papers presenting this half-synthetic yeast and showcasing the #SyntheticYeastGenomeProject (Sc2.0) SGD Project @[email protected] (bsky too) 🧵
I am excited to announce the tRNA neochromosome project is finally published at Cell. Roy Walker shared first coauthor, Patrick Cai and all collaboration partners made a massive effort to finally get the story out thank you! Find the article here: authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S00…
Happy to see our Nanopore sequencing workflow for construct validation published. Congratulations Adán Ramírez Rojas, Cedric K. Brinkmann and the one and only Tania pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Big thanks Max Planck Digital Library for funding Open Access. We also pulled together a protocol doi.org/10.48550/arXiv…
Congratulations Timon Lindeboom and Mar_07 who developed a new workflow to identify and select highly SCRaMbLEd synthetic yeast strains. The article just came out in ACS Synthetic Bio. Great collaboration with Lena Hochrein #synbio Find the story here: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Thanks Daniel for the kind words, and thank you VAAM - Vereinigung f. Allg. u. Ang. Mikrobiologie for allowing me to present my PhD project at the VAAM/DGHM conference. I'm already looking forward to next year!
Yesterday I finally had the chance to invite the team for a BBQ again! I am deeply grateful to be able to work with this amazing team! Thank you Adán Ramírez Rojas Mar_07 Timon Lindeboom Angélica Millán and the X account free members!
A lot of thanks to all the organizers GASB SynBio, and thank you for not only organizing a stellar and inspiring conference, but also for offering me a place to share my research to some of the brightest minds in synthetic biology.
