The new transport proposals are at best, vanity projects designed to keep transport ministers and projects in the news cycle. At worst, they take away the ability of agencies to plan for the future and develop real and desperately needed improvements.

A former “illegal immigrant” railing against other “illegal immigrants.”

People just want a better life and opportunities for their families.

Sometimes that means asking for forgiveness rather than permission.

Immigrants make a country stronger.

I’ve been to places so hot you can’t stay out in the sun for more than a few minutes. Life there looks nothing like what we’re used to.

If we’re not doing everything possible to prepare our cities for the heat of tomorrow, we’re already failing our people today.

The Pito-One to Melling cycleway gets a lot of flack for being nearly 3X over budget.
But even with that big budget blowout, the BCR is still 0.6, which is about twice the final BCR of Transmission Gully.

Our government is hell-bent on creating a transport culture war.
They bend over backwards to make driving cheaper because 'cost of living.'
Then, defund public transport and axe programmes that make transit affordable for families that are also barely making ends meet.
Shameful.

Yes! So much of what we do when we grow up is influenced by our childhood experiences.

It’s no wonder we drive so much when our childhood is experienced from the backseat of a car.

Crazy before & after images of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge.
A bridge I have crossed more than a few times.

1,000s of people walk, scoot and cycle over the Wynyard Crossing Bridge every week.
But due to a fault, it’s closed until next year.
However, it’s, being kept open vertically so a handful of expensive yachts can come and go anytime.
Another benefit for the few over the many.
