A wonderful start to the The Genetics Society Transposon meeting! We've had: 1) TE acting as gene switches, 2) CELLO-seq, 3) circular DNA and structural variations, 4) KRAB zinc finger proteins and pancreatic development, 5) epigenetics and KRABs in mice, and 6) pack-CACTA #TE #SciArt

Another great set of The Genetics Society talks: 1) AFD neuron disruption in C. elegans results in an increase in Tc1 elements; 2) conserved LTRs generate extracellular sRNA; 3) effects of methyl-6-adenosine can be good or bad, depending on external factors; 1/2 🧵
