It's simple, really. who/cares Ian Miller Well…. My beach must have been special then. He didn’t close our beach down, but the county commissioners did for a few weeks. Tried a 2nd time a little later and the Pinellas County Sheriff politely told them to pound sand.
@Bigphile1 It's simple, really. who/cares Ian Miller I hear ya. He closed beaches at state parks. A very small percentage of the state’s beaches. He didn’t over step the local governments. As I stated, most local governments elected to close their beaches for a short time.
@Bigphile1 It's simple, really. who/cares Ian Miller It’s hard to enforce closing beaches entirely in Florida because in many places, homeowners property extends to the high water mark. So the local law enforcement doesn’t like getting involved trying to enforce something that’s has a moving target. State owns the water.
