📨This Friday, Thomas Rannachan and I will be in Robroyston to kick off my series of summer roving surgeries - speaking to residents about the issues that affect them. Look out for a letter from me if you live locally.

🚗Robroyston roundabout is unsafe. That was the message that I heard loud and clear during my street surgery with Thomas Rannachan this afternoon. 🚦We will be pushing for traffic lights and renewed markings to ease congestion.

Local communities must be better consulted when planning such lengthy roadworks to help mitigate disruption, and I'll be raising this at Full Council today. Read the full story here 👇 glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/25456939.…

📊 Scotland’s Councillor complaints system is in crisis. In 2024/25, a record 2,714 complaints were lodged — but only 128 investigated. Just 12 breaches proven. This isn’t higher standards. It’s misuse of the system. 🧵 heraldscotland.com/news/25462803.…

Councillors must be free to scrutinise financial decisions on the public’s behalf. Article 10 gives us enhanced freedom of speech rights to do so — protecting that principle is essential to protecting the public. This is far bigger than my own case. heraldscotland.com/news/25492389.…

This is a fantastic proposal from my colleague Cllr Carey. The process may be slow, as noted by the Scottish Government, but it’s a step in the right direction. 👏 #Glasgow

I agree it is a disgrace. Not everyone has someone to drop them off. Saying “there’s public transport” is insulting when cancer patients have low immune systems. Jumping on a bus after chemo isn’t an option. And jumping in a taxi each time is costly.
