We're docked in #Vancouver and have already received a visit from the welcome committee. All he wanted to know is if we had snacks.

Today's #AnAnimalADay is the Japanese Green Pheasant! This beautiful bird is Japan's national bird/animal and is native to the country. Only the male has those striking green colors. But the female is why it is Japan's national bird. It walks with its chicks, symbolizing harmony.
Today's #AnAnimalADay is the Sheltopusik! Now I know you're looking at it and thinking snake, but stop thinking that. This is actually a species of legless lizard (there's a difference, snakes don't have ears and eyelids to name a few). It can grow up to 4ft long and eats snails.
Today's #AnAnimalADay is the Dragon-Headed Katydid! This species of bush cricket lives in the tropics of Asia, using its unique colors and shape to blend in with the foliage. It gets the name 'dragon-headed' from the large mandibles it uses to munch on fruit and other insects.
We just learned about Alaska Air's 'Salmon Thirty Salmon' with a design inspired by the world's only mid-air plane/salmon collision. #TrueStory #Alaska

Good morning from Juneau, AK. A little breakfast then a journey to Mendenhall glacier will start our day. My wife has told me we're not returning to the ship without a rather large brick of fudge from a certain shop, the name of which she can't remember.

Today's #AnAnimalADay is the Azureus Cichlid! This fish is native to Lake Malawi in Africa, but do to its vibrant color and calm demeanor, it's widely popular in home aquariums. Only matures males are bright blue. Juveniles and females are silver. The blue helps attract mates.
