We’re really sad to let you know that Drew Allardice, our Community Warden for Bracklesham and East Wittering, passed away this morning, following a short illness. Drew had worked for the council since we set up the Community Warden scheme in 2005 – and was based in Bracklesham

A few snaps from our recent day out at West Wittering, taking part in a beach clean! Even though the beach looked clean at first glance, we managed to pick up 12 kilograms of rubbish!

A fab wk enjoying the sunshine on East Wittering Beach. A chance for some nice landscape photos. Birding opportunities were limited to a bit of early morning Seawatch (Bottlenose dolphin a highlight). Garden ☑️ included migrating Redstart, Willow Ws & Spot fly.

It's back to work tomorrow - so taking some inspiration from this family enjoying #Bracklesham beach in #WestSussex, August 1937.

Went to East/West Wittering this weekend. A place stuck in forever in the hot summer of 1976.

East Wittering has a great high street, with restaurants, take-aways and the world's best 60s pub – The Shore. You should go.

Absolutely top best favourite restaurant ever. Absolutely top best day ever. Hoomum is back from The Big Apple. Himself Hoosis Hoomum Me (Jack-Dog innit) and Rat-Dog went to the beach at East Wittering with lunch at Drifters. They have snossidges on the menu. We had two each.
