Splash is the guiding light in a dark and gritty world. He is the torch-bearer, and we owe it to ourselves to appreciate this lovable water sausage. You are the best, Splash.

Highly agree with this. Lord of the Rings the book and LoTR the movie are two similar stories with very different execution. It's not just the scenes that were left out, but also the narrative tone that's set. It's like describing the similarities between a travel log fantasy

The group chat is, unironically, one of the greatest places for innovation today. Got a cool new idea you're working on? The group chat is where you can really put your project to the test. Case in point: Group chats with my beta readers are where some of the best story

The problem with GenAI as a whole is that it's absolutely terrible at fact checking itself. What I've usually noticed is that it almost always goes with a "yes, and" or "no, but" approach. Basically, no matter what you tell it, no matter how absurd, the AI will almost always

When life gets you down, never forget that you are the Eternal Champion of your own life, the arbiter between Law and Chaos. How you balance the two could potentially change the world.

Really enjoyed watching a random Asmongold video and seeing John given a shout-out. The OP is more relevant than ever, what with these terrible fantasy shows crashing and burning.

If the treeline resembles a fierce Minotaur... you're a woman. If you see a naked woman with massive... Eyes... you're a straight man (or a lesbian). This optical illusion is your secret weapon for unmasking gender pretenders and catfishers online. What you see doesn't

I guess I'll be the exception to the rule, but I believe they are fantasy. That said, it's fantasy rooted in actual beliefs of the time. If you read Plato's Republic, several of Rome's philosophers had a major problem with how Homer distorted their beliefs for dramatic effect,

This is one case where I think the movie does a disservice to the novel. Despite its bleakness, The Road (the book) is incredibly hopeful at points, and it does a great job of showing just how much impact one person can have on an otherwise horrible world. Highly recommend.

For those who aren't aware Cat Plissken ⚔ Talking Pulp Press's saga is what got me formally acquainted with indie fiction. It's a real great series if you want old-school swords and sorcery with a bit of B-movies on the side.
