From 23–25 August, CEO Janet Jobson, participated in the Global Forum for Emerging Peace Builders organised by 어린이어깨동무. The forum hosted peace activists from Korea, Cyprus, Ireland, Cambodia, Japan, & South Africa to exchange lessons & ideas to build peace across societies.

On 26 August, our CEO Janet Jobson delivered a public lecture in Seoul on South Africa’s reconciliation journey. We welcomed the engagement from Ambassadors Zenani Dlamini (SA) & Michelle Winthrop (Ireland), & South Korean civil society representatives. Thank you 어린이어깨동무!

On 30 August, we joined Alderman James Vos, city officials, and Mandela family members to plant a memorial tree and unveil a mosaic bench for Nelson Mandela on the Grand Parade. We also launched a new guide to the City Hall precinct, featuring the Desmond and Leah Tutu House.

Genial Springboks strongman and cake lover “Ox” Nche visited Ma Leah Tutu to show her the Rugby World Cup. He hoped Archbishop Tutu could "see from heaven that rugby is bringing South Africans together". On cake, he said: “You have to be happy; cake is for the heart and soul.”
