It's the last day of #SEA2023_UMD ! No plenary sessions today, but highlights include many great roundtables, such as the colloquy on Wendy Roberts's award-winning book, *Awakening Verse: The Poetics of Early American Evangelicalism* at 9:00 AM.
One more full day of #SEA2023_UMD ! Gabrielle Tayac will present a keynote address, 'Raising Our Ancestors' Presence: How Early Americanists Can Activate Land Acknowledgments,' at 5:00 PM, followed by a forum on Leveraging Academic Resources for Indigenous Communities at 6:00 PM.
#SEA2023_UMD is underway! Day 2 highlights include the Common Read plenary at 1:15 PM, and Carla Peterson's keynote address, 'The Prehistory of HBO's The Gilded Age: Urban Black Elites and the Cultivation of Taste, 1825-1855' at 6:15 PM.
