On Saturday, our students took part in Beethoven 250 Christchurch Priory (archived) They performed Choral Fantasy Op.80 and Symphony No.9 in D minor ‘Choral’, Op.125, both by Beethoven. Huge thanks to SoundStorm and all involved for a wonderful, uplifting evening of music. #phspassion

✍️#WilliamBarnes's poem 'The Beam in Grenley Church' was inspired by the story of the Miraculous Beam in #Christchurch Priory. It tells how the said beam, having been cut too short during building, was miraculously lengthened by a mysterious carpenter, presumed to be Christ.
