I just heard that Bettina Jonic died earlier this year. I briefly worked with her in the early 80’s. She was a powerhouse teacher and performer with a low tolerance for fools. We briefly planned a Brecht/Weill show. A wonderful human being.

Just rewatched Godard’s ‘2 OR 3 THINGS I KNOW ABOUT HER’ For starters - great title. Sometimes I just need to watch something like this to restore my faith and belief that cinema can be groundbreaking. Just ordered a bunch of similars BluRay format.For me JLG is still the Dude.

Sad news about Robert Holman. Just last week i was trying to remember a very funny joke he told involving the special paint used on Concord. I wrote the score for a tv film of his. Summer’s Awakening.

Robert Holman. The punch line was something like this…I JUST FARTED AND I’M IN BAHRAIN. I remember him as kind and wickedly witty. Film was directed by the talented Sarah Pia Anderson.

RIP PeterBogdanovich. Wonderful charming man who always had time for others. Sharp and witty always. He will be missed. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

#AMERICAN GIRL directed by Feng-1 Fiona Roan is terrific. On Netflix. Great cast, and cinematography. Simple and strong. A talent to watch.

Watching#BadVegan. The score is hidious. Makes the film unwatchable. Not that its bad music-its bad score. Very loud and ever present.
