Ai art is nice to look at but a lot of art groups I'm part of have been flooded with quick AI images. As a tool I think it's brilliant for concept but it has taken a huge chunk of the space where freelance artists would otherwise occupy.

For my charcoal or painting it's pretty similar
• references
• background wash
• block shapes in 3 tones; light, mid, dark
• blend
• build up shapes, blend (repeat until likeness is reached)
• fixative for charcoal /leave to dry for paint
• add final details & fixative
