On International Women's Day I'm remembering the women whose shoulders I stand on. My nan Jesse Walls, Bryant and May Matchgirl striker Mary Atkins in the middle & my mum Joan Smith a workplace union rep. All staunch believers in social justice.

Last night at our Inspiring Cockney Women talk, organised in collaboration with the Modern Cockney Festival.
