I spent 4 hours yesterday planning which was a lot but so key! I haven’t done a semester plan in a while & it’s probably why I’ve been feeling so muddled. The most key exercise was calculating how many focused work hours I have this summer & how long the tasks will take. Whew!

@J_I_Benjamin I recommend The Lot Planner and take it with me. I start each week with a list of the big tasks and do a list for each day as well with my coffee. I appreciate the space to put your personal focus and your work focus bc both are important! Also has an accomplishments section 🥳

How I visualize my research and track my many projects. This brings a bit of fun to the slog that can be writing up and submitting manuscripts! Each leaf is a project with promising data. The branch outlined means words have been written. It gets circled if it has been submitted!

@faithhh_anne Yes! The Lot Planner handles project planning in addition to day-to-day planning, and was made by an academic (I think developed when she was a PhD student/on postdoc?)
