A recent conference titled 'Holocaust Education and Holocaust Distortion: Current and Emerging Challenges, National Measures in Force' was held in Bucharest, Romania, attended by government officials, educators, as well as representatives from IHRA and the OSCE/ODIHR Office.

IHRA Chair Lord (Eric) Pickles stressed AI’s role, warning that deepfakes and distortive narratives threaten historical accuracy. He concluded his speech by quoting the late Yehuda Bauer, the IHRA’s Honorary Chairman, who once noted, “A half-truth is worse than a whole lie.”

We honor the memory of victims and survivors of the Holocaust by safeguarding their stories from denial and distortion. Their bravery serves as a reminder to #ProtectTheFacts, ensuring their courage is never forgotten.
