Over the weekend we have been made aware of practices who have had bomb threats and one incident where a patient attended a practice and threw blood-soaked items at the receptionists. (1/5)

We are calling on the government for a media campaign to support general practice and highlight that abuse is not acceptable. To remind patients that we have been open throughout the pandemic. (2/5)

That we have delivered 75% of the vaccination programme. That the telephone first model is THEIR advice and the reasons behind it. (3/5)

Otherwise we will continue to have incidents like this, as well as staff resigning their posts as they shouldn’t have to put up with this. Fewer staff means harder access for all. (4/5)

Our services need protection and the constant assertion from the media that we are closed or ever have been - which is completely incorrect - needs to be challenged on a National scale. (5/5)
