When we focus on 'managing risk' it can take us away from being alongside a person, it can actually increase isolation & distress. Important ofc to take risk seriously but needs to be done in a way that upholds a sense of relationship & connection. A caring, thoughtful approach.

The audacity of a survivor of #CSA eh? To carve that niche, to open the door and step inside… I LOVE this. For the individual, Sophie, whom I love dearly, to the organisation, who are a thrilling addition to a movement against the silence and acceptance of child sexual abuse.

Dramatic sculpture to represent a lifetime living with trauma. Abuse doesn’t stop when it ends but therapy has given me the tools to live rather than merely exist. You can read about it in my memoir.
