Research from Family Heart Foundation found only 2% of U.S. patients at high risk of heart disease received a combination lipid-lowering therapy (LLT), and 80% of clinicians never prescribe combination LLTs. bit.ly/3Whf9Ru

Sean McGuire Thomas Dayspring National Lipid Association European Atherosclerosis Society Family Heart Foundation FH Europe Foundation Is there no way to covert APob MG/dl to Nmol/l ?
Thomas Dayspring National Lipid Association European Atherosclerosis Society Family Heart Foundation FH Europe Foundation Meaning: the higher the HDL - C, the better (other values without change).
Sean McGuire National Lipid Association European Atherosclerosis Society Family Heart Foundation FH Europe Foundation ApoB can easily be converted from mg/dL mass to molar particle concentrations as it has a constat molecular weight. That is not the case with Lp(a), so ideally isoform specific assays verified with WHO standards are needed in all labs.
Sean McGuire Thomas Dayspring National Lipid Association European Atherosclerosis Society Family Heart Foundation FH Europe Foundation Assuming no harm and can be done safely. Why wouldnt we treat someone with High LP(a) to a pathological APoB.
I agree going to guidlines is probably not agressive enough.
