💥 Great news! Amendment 5 to the Refugee Ban Bill has been voted in favour of 222-179 by House of Lords. We backed this amendment with over 50 charities, NGOs and human rights organisations. Together, we will defeat this cruel and unworkable Bill.

‘Measure twice, cut once’ Our attendees learnt to cut templates for traditional clothes (with a touch of retail therapy!) Session #2 ended with a serene guided meditation delivered by IMO Charity Heartfelt thanks to ‘Fatima’s Collection’ for the generous donation of fabrics.
Excited to part of this wonderful project The Connect Hub, empowering #Refugee women in Blackburn with Darwen Council to find a sense of belonging & improve #mentalhealth, through social connection, developing existing skills & learning in a welcoming space. Amazing talent in the room 🤩👏
Last week, we delivered a private sewing workshop for families who had been evacuated from Afghanistan in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council, The Calico Group and The Connect Hub.
We’d like to thank the Festival of Making for hosting the 3rd session of our ‘One Stitch at a Time’ project, empowering through sewing. Partnerships make our work possible. The Calico Group Blackburn with Darwen Council Fantastic to see how we can use reuse dead-stock materials.
