Type inference is awful. Yep, you save couple of keystrokes (if any due to Copilot or similar tools), but then you assume that I have working compiler installed in my head that will infer types when doing code review. Just write a god damn type, make code explicit.

Laravel’s “facades” are nothing more than access to a global variable via some class static method. It is equally good idea as using global variables within the project.
