Classic hematoxylin bodies characteristic of lupus lymphadenopathy. Extracellular clumps of amorphous material that stain intensely with hematoxylin. Thought to be degenerated nuclei that have reacted with ANAs. #CAPVirtualPath

NICE example of “MW bodies” (Melamed-Wolinska bodies) in voided urine of a patient with a history of HG Urothelial Carcinoma (the latter not seen in these images). Described in 1961 by Dr. Myron Melamed and his cytotech Ms. WH Wolinska, from MSKCC in New York City.

Reporting IHC for Hodgkin lymphoma is about more than just calling things ‘positive’ and ‘negative.’ Even the ‘negative’ stains will point you in the direction of the neoplastic culprits! #PathX #HemePath
