more render practice, messing with coloring out of greyscale on a single value layer + lines.

not sure if I particularly like this method but it definitely gives me the most control over my values of all the methods I've tried.

once again in that phase of my art life where I try to figure out digital rendering and just can't get it to look the way I want. everything either looks too complex and takes too long to be enjoyable, and the faster stuff looks too basic and not complex enough to appeal to me

slayer and akuma's trailers filling me with immense dread about my characters for a while until I got some breakfast and remembered that I do, indeed, like my characters

it's not the most polished thing ever but thanks to CSP's various noise and droplet airbrushes I was able to make a fairly decent starfield background to use as a mask for the wizard's cool galaxy portal staff in about 10 minutes.

I think I'm going to experiment more with the way I draw eyes. This one feels a bit more cartoonish than I wanted, probably due to the eye to face ratio
