Beautiful words by Patricia Routledge. Recently I saw her as Mrs Jennings in a BBC Sense and Sensibility from the 70’s. Her character comedy even then was immaculate, suffused with humanity. Her Kitty, created with Victoria Wood, is one of the most sublime comic creations ever.
