DID YOU KNOW? The first Europeans in recorded history to visit Kullu were Portuguese Jesuit missionaries Francisco de Azevedo and João de Oliveira. In 1631, they travelled thru Lahul, Kulu, and Mandi, crossing Bara Lacha, Rohtang and Bhubhu passes, on their way from Leh to Agra.
