In June we supported 362 Veterans across the country. 50 were brand new to us, 19 were Veterans we helped in the past and 293 are Veterans who are ongoing, meaning they still require assistance. We are only able to do this work through the generosity of kind, caring donors.

We continue to put the healing power of music into the hands of heroes. In the month of June we welcomed 42 new students to our program and gave out 36 guitars. This brings our year to date totals to 302 new students and 251 guitars distributed.

July was crazy! We supported 424 Veterans across the country. 54 of those were brand new to us, 19 were Vets we helped in the past who came back and 351 are Veterans who are ongoing-still requiring assistance. It's hard to see those who served our country now in tough situations.

The third Friday of September is designated as Military Family Appreciation Day. From the frequent moves to the birthdays, holidays and other milestones celebrated without the presence of their loved one, the sacrifices made by military families are immense and often overlooked.

Happy Thanksgiving! As many of us enjoy a delicious meal with family / friends, we should be thankful to those who have served and continue to serve. And please keep in mind that there are many who have served who won’t have the luxury of a hot Thanksgiving meal this weekend.

What a pleasure it was to speak with Debbie Lowther, CEO & Co-Founder of VETS Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦. VETS Canada supports homeless and at-risk veterans with a view to helping reintegrate them into civilian life. They operate a Veterans’ Community Food Pantry as well & appreciate all donations.

Thank you for addressing this unbelievable ridiculous order! It actually is heartbreaking πŸ’” We need to do better in this country showing respect for our CAF members and veterans. We are failing and it needs to stop.
