The thorns have turned red making the patches in the desert really stand out.

While a lot trails can be challenging in Big Bend, this is an easy to moderate one called Lone Mountain. It's a new trail with little elevation change and is basically a 3-mile loop around the base of the mountain. Pleasant and easy. ⁦Big Bend NPS⁩
